Back on Track

Well, more like back on the treadmill to run. I accomplished 1.5 mile in a 17:05 time frame, which is not that bad but it’s also not that good. The minimum for the Navy’s standard, for a female 20-24, is 15:30, and that time puts you as probation, a red alert that you can be put into remedial training after boot camp. So I am aiming for at least 13:45-14:15. A time of 14:15 means good and 13:15 means excellent. My average speed was 5.0 mph.

I’m going to restart on the treadmill to get my running endurance back up, committing to get on every morning. Usually, in the morning I pop in a workout video and add push ups at the end. I’m also thinking of taking my workout videos and doing them in the afternoon, maybe around 3-4 P.M., so that’s two workout sessions per day. I’ll see how that goes, because I have been trying to do that and can never find myself to do it.

But in the last week I have been stuck in my Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathon. LOLS. I need to be slaying these last 5 lbs. I have been just maintaining my weight at 160 and haven’t lost anything at all. So this is definitely motivation. Need to kick it up a million notch.

Well, that’s a quick update on what’s going on with me on the fitness side. Stay active!
